I Need Help Getting the Downloads into my Game

All downloads come in zip format. To extract these files into your game, you need a zip program such as Zip Central or Winzip. Next, you need to double click on the zip file and extract to:

C:\program files\maxis\the sims\gamedata\skins
(this will be different if you specified an address other than the default during installation of The Sims.)

My Game Crashes When I'm Creating a New Family

This usually happens when you have bad files installed somewhere in your game. To find them, download and run Sims File Cop found at The Sims official website under Get Cool Stuff, Make Cool Stuff.
